How did you make his hand black? When I try to change skin tones, it never looks that good.

It was a multi-step process and, unfortunately, I don't remember the exact steps. I know I always start off with the hue to see what that can accomplish. Sometimes just tweaking it a little bit can really matter once other alterations are made after that. Then I like to play around some with the levels and then, in this case, I remember I used the color balance to take out some of the red. I may have even slightly altered the brightness & contrast to finalize things. Of course, there is certainly the possibility that I did something else somewhere along the way, too.
Next time I do a skin color change, I'll try to remember to write down exactly what I did.
