The Saints were really bad last year and installed the 3-4 this season and are having success with it. I just think with our depth and speed at LBer and the way the line has been non existent, maybe 3-4 would have been better. Seems a good but of teams are going this way as it is...

I don't think the linebackers in a 4-3 are good enough so let's not add a fourth

And in reality the saints are playing a 4-3, have you watched them this year?

I dunno. Our LBs don't seem much better than the DL

We don't have the personnel. No nose guard on the roster. LBs are too small to take on offensive linemen

Well, that's not even addressing the fact that it's a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT SCHEME WITH COMPLETELY DIFFERENT PERSONNEL.

I have watched the saints and they move a Linebacker to the line sometimes, that is still 3-4

I don't think we have the personnel to run what we have now, what do you suggest since you know?

Dude, do you know anything about 4-3 vs. 3-4?

We have nowhere near the correct personnel for 3-4. Like, not even close.

Yeah let's confuse the young guys more by completely about hauling our defense.

3-4 requires a different type of player than we typically recruit. Our defensive scheme is more versatile to take on all the different types of offense we see in college FB

Clearly you don't.

Who's our NT? Who will play OLB (Mingo plays for the Browns, FWIW)?

Beckwith is actually pretty well suited for OLB in a 3-4, but he's probably the only one that fits. We don't have a NT and our DE's are already on the smaller size for a 4-3 defense. We would get pushed around if we tried to run a 3-4 with the players we have.

We don't seem to have 3 good lbs, and you want to use 4?
