Made a fairly significant update to the guide:

• GPU section needed some updates – added more card models, such as the GTX 970, 980, and R9-285. Added a quick discussion of some of the gimmicks/extras offered by AMD and NVIDIA. Altered some GPU recommendations based on the GTX 970’s competitive price/performance.

• Added text boxes throughout the document summarizing some of the longer explanations/walls of text

• Added socket 2011-3/X99, Z97, CPU info

• Added extremely brief discussion of M.2 and SATA Express to the motherboard section

• Added extremely brief discussion of DDR4 to RAM section.

• Added more discussion of CAS latency and its relevance to performance to the RAM section since RAM prices are all over the place, and lately I’ve been seeing some excellent kits (like DDR3-1866/CL8) being priced within a few dollars of basic DDR3-1600/CL9 kits.

• Updated the sample build roundups and added alternative builds

• Added a new section at the end – “Ballin’ Out of Control? Here’s Some Advice for Big Budgets” – which discusses some of the options for expensive builds and the ideal selection process. Also offers a few sample builds in various big-budget price ranges.

• Other various tweaks and edits throughout the document.
