A character is a plot device, so yea that counts as discussing the plot.

Disagree.

plot noun \'plät\
: an area of land that has been measured and is considered as a unit

: a usually small piece of land that is used for a particular purpose

: a series of events that form the story in a novel, movie, etc.

and a plot device is something that moves the story forward. Saying someone is a badass along with their name does not move the story forward. You don't know anything more about the story than you knew before.

You're wrong.

A plot device is an object or character in a story whose sole purpose is to advance the plot of the story, or alternatively to overcome some difficulty in the plot.

You're wrong, plain and simple. Knowing a character and his dimeanor is definitely spoiling something that the OP should be able to gather on his own.

Also, Voldemort's dimeanor is integral to all of season three. It is most definitely directly related to the plot of the show.
