From the stickied post on the rant:

Terrapin Beer Co. is the local brewery. You may have had one before. Regional brand.

On Wed-Sat evenings they have tours of the brewery. These are in no way "tours" in the way you might be envisioning. You pay $10 to get a Terrapin pint glass (that you keep) and 8 tickets. 1 ticket = about half a pour. They have 5 or 6 of their beers on tap. Most of the action takes place outside the brewery where they have a stage where bands play and it pretty much makes it a bar-type atmosphere.

I googled the site, and it looks like a great time. Trying to get my crew to join in on the festivities from 5:30 to 7:30 Friday evening.

They have some good beers too.

Pint glass and 4 beers for $10 is a great deal.

If you are in Atlanta this weekend, Sweetwater has a similar deal.

I'll be there. At least 4 of us for Terrapin on Friday.

If this gets out, someone needs to tell Terrapin that LSU is on the way.

we got 6 in our crew. Looks like we're in. Maybe we can have a pre-bar takeover at the brewery

I went last year, it is a blast. Recommendation would be to come early because the lines get long. Also there are auxiliary filling stations that you should utilize to combat the long line at the main one.

Since it is a brewery, they probably won't run out of beer, but they still might get overwhelmed.

Did anyone email them about large group numbers? Just to notify them? I thought I might since I have at least 8-10 of us that would like to all get in

I just sent them an email telling (warning) them that LSU was coming to town.

I love their beer and want them to show well.

I let them know about this board as well.

Like I said, I did, but they might want to hear from more than one.

I imagine they are pretty prepared after several years of UGA games.

Though since you're limited to the 8 tickets, they should be ok on stock

I wonder if you can double up on tickets? Throw up a $20 and get 16.

Yes, that's another challenge.

Get there early. It's normally packed on Friday regardless of a game weekend. Also, be sure to check out 5 Points Bottle Shop on Lumpkin and Milledge. Great beer selection

We had looked at Copper Creek brewery for Friday night. Anybody know anything about it? If that doesn't work out, we'll definitely head to Terrapin.

Copper Creek is a brew pub and IMO has pretty good food. Normally, Terrapin has a food truck but is more focused on beer. It depends on which route you would want to go. Also, Trappeze Pub downtown has a really good beer selection and food.

If all goes to plan, we should be arriving at the brewery around 4 or so.
