I only get to one or(if I'm real lucky) two games a year. Live in California, never attended LSU (Mom's family is from Louisiana) but have been attending games since the 60's. For me, my children and my friends who make the trip, there is no place on earth that compares to Tiger Stadium. It could be the fact that it takes a year of planning to get to one game that makes it so special for us.

Has television made a difference? Don't know how it is back in Louisiana or the Gulf States, but here in the Bay Area, we will be able to see every LSU game this season but the Furman game. So if it's the same down there, TV coverage can cut into a fans feeling that they have to go to every game or they will miss out seeing their team play....I think it is probably the same with the top 10 major programs in the country that are always on TV because they are successful.
