Haven't had much time to revisit the game yet, but I had forgotten about that kick and this makes much more sense to me now. Was scratching my head for a good while about why he chose to fake it in that situation and you may damn well be right.

I don't get all the LSU butthurt over it.. you had a big lead and yeah, 3 points would have been beneficial, but a TD there was the dagger in the heart so many LSU fans now want.

It didn't work, Les may have felt a little bad and eased off the gas. Each time we did, they pushed back but when we needed to make plays we did, and thats how you win.

Stats belong in a vacuum but LSU controlled the game

As fun and endearing as the "Mad Hatter" was, I think I prefer good ol' Les with his ground it out and wear you down approach. Having Cam open it up with an aerial attack is gravy and IMO, just as fun to watch as the trick plays.

Leave the trick plays to overmatched teams like Boise St v. Oklahoma

Les was trying to keep the fans in the stands

Obviously, having Auburn quit early would have been nice, but it would not have forced the D to grow, which it needs to do. Teams play much different down 14 than they do down 28.
