Anybody know who owns (not runs) the lodge?
One of the episodes of the show got into that. It was family property that was sold off piece by piece and other people tried to farm it. The farming wasn't the best but the hunting was excellent. A group of investors headed up by one of the sons or grandsons of the original property owners brought back as much of the original tract as possible and put it in the WRP program. It's the biggest piece of WRP in the State... maybe the country.

This isn't quite right. fwiw
It was family property that was sold off to a group of investors, who then sold it to an individual. That individual owns it now, along with most of what was previously known as the North Farm of Louisiana Delta Plantation.

It's all good, I haven't watched any episodes in quite some time, since roughly first season maybe.
They feature the owner and his brother on there several times.

That can't be quite right either. There is no way 1000's of acres changed hands by only 2 transactions. I swear they said something about a lot of smaller sale offs of the original tract.

The Morrison's bought it (North Farm) from a prominent Baton Rouge family while it was still in timber. They cleared and developed it into a farm.
In 1998 they sold a shade over 42,000 ac to a group of Chicago investors. Those investors spun off a few thousand acres around the perimeter, but kept the farm otherwise intact. It sold to the current owners in 2005, who added a few hundred acres. Then sold off a few thousand last year.
The Chicago investors group was the one that enrolled Honey Brake into WRP.
