FWIW some Indians -- not red Indians but India Indians -- have skin that is almost coal black, but they are "brown" while brown skinned people in America are "black"

good lord don't be butt hurt about it. Vijay is so obviously Indian and common I figured any person who isn't Amish would have come across it at some point in their life.

But when he's not from India you don't really think about it. I mean Vijay could easily be a common name in Fiji and I wouldn't think twice about it

Well they are both dead giveaways. I just wanted to focus on the part I thought really stood out.
Singh looks like it could be more eastern like Chinese or something if you are totally unfamiliar.
