They ALREADY have hardship funds to cover ALL of the cost which you posted about.(up to $4,500 a year) They
also can and get Pell Grants $5,400 per year. And ALL non freshman recieve a stipend for room and board around
$1,100 to $1,400 a MONTH depending on the school.
Plua ALL get $500 clothing allowence.
Added all up and it can be up to 20K a year CASH just for
expenses. Does not included tuition and books.

Yup

I was only on partial scholarship but I still was plenty taken care of with all of the allowances and stipends. I am opposed to paying.

If you pay players, what is the point of collegiate institutions having athletic departments. At that point, they are just sponsors. The University of Alabama would simply be a sponsor at that point, like how Bwin is to Real Madrid and Aon is to Manchester United.
