Mostly hip hop with the bass so loud it literally made the stadium vibrate. The band played a lot less. A lot. There were some complaints about it on the call in show as well. It detracted from the overall atmosphere, IYAM.

I'm not saying there's no place for piped in music, but a little goes a long way, and it was too much and too loud.

Understood, and for recruits, and obviously some of the students like it too, judging by a comment upthread. I just think they overdo it. I thought it was alright last year. They went overboard last night, though. The volume was borderline painful in my part of the stadium. And if we're not going to let the band play, they might as well save some money and just shut down the band program.

It was pretty bad. I wonder if they tested it before yesterday. Maybe it was just turned up too loud. I guess we'll find out next week.

I sit in North 244, up against the east wall and I want to file a class action lawsuit against LSU and whoever the sound engineer/scoreboard dude/dudette is for hearing loss.

Most people in the north (except for already deaf students) would agree with me.

It was way too loud!

I like hip hop, but they were playing really shitty hip hop songs. I also thought whatever they did to the student entrance was fricking ridiculous. I've never seen a line that long to get in. Thank God I've graduated to sitting with the grown ups.

Great comments but remember one thing.
You were at the game. You only get to do it 7 or 8 times a year. Imagine if you could only have sex with your wife 7 or 8 times a year. Would you complain or take the day off work and enjoy every second of it?

It took forever for them to put the UGA-USCe score up on screen. Even when they ran through all the Top 25 scores, they left that score out... Biggest game of the day. AT&T service is terrible in the stadium and I could never get a signal until late in the 3rd after everyone left

I actually preferred the more classic songs they played such as "we will rock you" and "Ozzie Osborne"

I don't know what all of you are talking about saying the PA was too loud. I sit in 101 (west side, nearer to south EZ), and we couldn't hear it at all. It was a running joke in our section about how much money was spent on a clock radio for the stadium. Never heard Dan Borne until the 4th Qtr once there was nobody left in the stands.

There was one song that was just a high pitch, eardrum piercing tone for about 30 seconds to start. It was terrible

At one point, I counted 19 advertisements on the screen. Makes me sick. Does it pay the bills? Sure. Does it look like crap? Absolutely

I do like that they put up a Welcome to Death Valley sign on the sideline. Wish it was the size of the old one
