i kill many many doves. however, where i'm from, if you breast them, the whole fricking town will disown you.

we ONLY breast/skin the following:

black birds
squealers
blues
snows

to each his own, though.

I'd tell the whole town politely yet firmly to go frick themselves.

I pluck a bag or two of doves every year just to say I did. There is no real benefit that I can see other than saying you did it. They're great plucked. They're great breasted. One takes 5 seconds, one takes 5 minutes. The reward doesn't make it worth it imo. Too each his own

We must be from the same town. LOL I've never breasted doves or grilled them. Pluck and remove innards, keep skin on. The same goes for all my ducks. The way LSUballs cooks it is a similar to what my family and I cook em, but with the skin.

Since I can't dove hunt this weekend I'll be cooking the last 2 dozen doves I have in my freezer and watching the game.
