Mine was junk also. Just last night I took it apart to check it out.
I got it for Christmas one yaer. I waited until the following season and tried it. It worked but never used it much. I may have used it for a total of under 20 days of woods time. Last year I set it back up and nothing. I dug it out lasat night to check it and it is J U N K

I usually run 10-15 Bushnells. Battery life is pretty good (takes 8 AAs) and pictures are crisp. The best cameras are Reconyx, though, but for the number of cameras I use, it would be way too expensive to run them. Reconyx are about $500 a piece.
