Agree. Despite some of the miscues, I haven't seen a much better LSU opener in many years. The biggest game changer is, yes, Mettenberger's development since last season and a different offensive philosophy, but the former allows the latter to be possible. New OC definitely helps, too.
The only thing that bothered me last night was that Mett threw the ball away a lot -- which yes, I'm glad he didn't throw any INTs -- but that is either a testament to TCU's defense or Mett not seeing those opportunities to connect as much as he should.
Obviously, the next few games will confirm just where he is...BUT
overall I liked what I saw for an opener.
