Have they any Bama ties? What's their role, if any, with the WM program? I hate to see that "pipeline" burst. Although, I'm sure this is an aberration.

No they won't. They will be forgotten when they can't produce any more top players.
They are doing this for what they get right now.
This is a multi-million dollar a year business. It is "no holds barred" and all of the stops are being pulled out. Alabama/Nick Saban engages in total war on stuff like this. It is how it is.
LSU needs better recruiting work in North Louisiana just in the sense of having a stronger presence up there. Between La Tech, ULM, and Texas influence, the area has never been as tied to South Louisiana as we would like. But, if Saban can come in and lock up Mobile in one year after LSU had great success there for years, then LSU can have a greater influence in North Louisiana.
Overall though, it is what it is. I am not worried.
