A non-point. We're right next door to Texas, why would we spend time and resources in Alabama, which has 2 major SEC schools in it?

Still, why has it never happened? You would think LSU could pull at least one stud 5* from bama over the years, right? Whether we recruit hard there or not. I know we don't recruit the north hard and we've pulled stud recruits from yankeeland, right?
eta: but to your point, shouldn't it make it harder for bama to recruit here being LSU is the flagship school (and only SEC school) of our state?
