Do you still get the $3000 LA Tax Credit for buying a hybrid vehicle?

I loosely followed the ruling from last year but would I be eligible for the $3000 (or 10%) credit for purchasing a 2013 hybrid in Louisiana?

Last I checked they were still in the process of clarifying the rule due to the flex fuel debacle. We bought a Prius earlier this year, so the 10% back would be nice. Won't be the end of the world If we don't get it though; I missed out on the Flex Fuel one when I bought my f150 by 2 months

I thought that was all settled and done.

I haven't checked since May, it may be. I was planning on finding out when my BIL does our taxes

Flex fuels do not count anymore. They did originally, but after Jindel stepped in and halted the filings on June 16th, 2012, all claims for flex fuel credits were rejected. There is a class action law suit in the works right now though.

Nothing will come of the lawsuit. The State had no money to pay for the credit.

I don't care about the flex fuel. I'm looking at buying a 2013 Hybrid.

Has a suit finally been filed?

Why would someone buy a Flex Fuel down here?

Well with GM/Ford trucks right now, I'm pretty sure all the half ton models are all flex fuel, so you don't really have a choice.
