Are you kidding? McNight has been in the NFL for several years and is such a good athlete that he has played on both sides of the ball. I don't think anyone can really say that he didn't pan out.

Just got cut by 1 of the worst teams in the NFL in the Jets.

LF is on a diff level than McKnight its not even funny. Just posting this so people will eat crow.

Lets wait until he has a great college career and gets drafted and actually plays in the NFL. The kid is a great talent but he's still a teenager.

I wonder if McKnight would have made the same USC decision if he had it to do again?

I am the one that wrote that sentence you pasted up there...and I am not here to eat crow. I stand by that statement.

LF is a great athlete and may in fact be a once in 20 year player. The predictions are easy to make, but living up to that type of hype is not easy at all.

I remember the hype surrounding McKnight, and deservedly so. He was on a totally different level than any high player he ever played against. He was also a very impressive college player, and had he not been splitting carries with so many other RBs, he might have lived up to all the hype in college (which would have been almost impossible).

LF has the size and athleticism to be a workhouse RB in the NFL if he continues to develop. However, in case you haven't noticed, there are very few teams that use RBs as workhorses these days, and when they do, the average career length is not much different than McKnight's...and McKnight may get picked up by another team or two before his days are over.

You are not alone in hoping that LF will be a tiger and live up to his hype. Fortunately, I am not dumb enough to consider it a lock that he will have a better professional career than a guy that has played in the league for significantly longer than the average. Until he straps 'em up against a full team of SEC caliber players, no one will really know what his ceiling is.

You keep looking into your crystal ball, though.
