If you're subbing RBs in and out then you give the defense time to sub, defeating the purpose of a "hurry up" offense

Best answer: go rewatch the LSU-Oregon game, and look at what LSU did when it went no-huddle. A ton of toss dives right up the gut. We did it a couple series, so imagine if we were to do it all game long.

Our OL can change tempo, but to have those big nasties running plays like Oregon...not a good thing.

I don't mean Oregon, Arizona fast. Fast enough that they can't get set which would make throwing off of play action even more effective.

The backs should be good for a series or two, sub them out after series.

You won't be swapping out every play and plus we'll be in two-back sets plenty. Do you really think the defense would be set subbing like a hurry up offense does? They try to get in place after we are set, being out of place by a yard or two because the offense subs in and remains in the same formation (different play) could literally put you out of the play before it starts.

It's about keeping the defense off balance, wearing them down, and punching them in the mouth, all at the same time. We already wear you down in normal speed and with 5 backs and nearly 3 deep at OL, we can wear you down even faster and remain fresh plus get lot's of guys game time experience.

Substituting OL never sounds like a good idea to me.

I wouldn't be surprised to see our offense highly conditioned however, similar to our defensive prep for Oregon.
