Wrong! Les Miles brought in Cameron because he knows the LSU offense needed more than he and his coaching staff had to offer.
Cameron's expertise is in the Air-Coryell (West Coast Offense) which is best described as a power run game with a stretch the field passing attack.
The Cowboys with Emmitt Smith and Micheal Irvin won a lot of games with this type of offense, and Miles and Cameron will be aiming for the Emmitt Smith style of offense with Mett this year--power running game with increased production through the air.
Cameron will bring more plays out of more formations, which should do the trick. How well the offense gets installed and performed on the field in its first year is the question, not if Miles will give Cameron enough authority.
Cam Cameron is fully in charge of the tactical aspect of offense with strategic imput before and during the game from Miles on a game to game basis--very similar to what Saban does at Bama.
