Oh I'm sure it has happened plenty of times. I asked whether it's typical for a program like LSU. It's not like we have to wonder whether it was the right decision at the time. It's pretty obvious that it didn't turn out very well.

13-0 regular season, SEC champs, played in the national championship game...I'd say given the circumstances it turned out fine. Now, should Les have made a change at the end of the year, hard to say. I'm sure he thought, like everyone did, that Mettenberger would be an upgrade and the same philosophy would produce a better offense in 2012. Didn't work out that way and he made a change.
