who remembers this one? the story of Lane Frost.

I can remember watching it about 20 years ago and thinking that the actual bull riding moments in the movie were more like 80 seconds. overall pretty enjoyable movie with some tear jerk moments.

I wanted to ride a bull in middle school so bad because of this movie. I have it on dvd, but it's been a while since I watched it.

Is it a good movie even if you don't care too much about bull riding?

Great movie about a great man. The only time I can remember actually liking Luke Perry in something.

Although it did provide for more drama; unlike the movie, Lane and Kelly were completely faithful to each other until his death. Also, there is no such person as Martin Hudson.

ETA: Here is the official Lane Frost website that lays out the differences between fact and fiction from the movie. Good stuff.

Tuff-"I heard Kelly was upset after the last time y'all got together."

Lane-"what you talkin about?"

Tuff-"She said you stayed on 8 seconds then jumped off and threw your hat in the air!!"

Tuff: Yeah they're puss'n boots.

No matter how many times I watch that movie, I tear up when they're carrying the coffin

I do too. It get worse when Kelly and Tuff are talking at the stable and Tuff is telling Kelly how much Lane believed in Tuff and that it was his year. Just sobbing, everytime.

lane's dad was not really thrilled about how the movie portraid him as a "hard nosed" dude that never told lane that he loved him. he stated that he ALWAYS told lane that he loved him and was a very "involved" dad.

also, hedeman actually won his first world championship BEFORE lane died.

just a few tidbits.

I say that line in my head just about every time I drive by one. Gotta say it like he says it though... wuddahchickin.

And I too cry like a bitch when they're carrying the coffin and the Kelly and Tuff scene in the stables.
