I really dont think he was scared of competition. Kid is a big time football player. People saying hes not just because he isnt coming to LSU are just flat out wrong.
I think at camp he not only saw the great WRs we have on our board and in state player, BUT he also saw the type of DBs that most SEC teams have. And realized that hes never played against the type of DBs we have down here while the other WRs have and were ahead of him and more acclimated to playing against the best DBs in the nation. He realized it would take him longer to see the field than it would take Noil, Dupre, and Quinn. Hes not scared of competition. He just wants to go to a place where he will see the field early on. I dont think he would of done that at LSU. Nothing wrong with that.
Good luck to the kid at Rutgers. I agree with ProjectP. If Rutgers could lock down the talent in NJ they would be a damn good football team. Hell if they would just lock down Don Bosco Prep they would be solid. That school puts players in major NCAA schools across the country every year.

quote:it's funny how so many in this thread feel the need to come down on an 18 year old kid for picking his home state school.
He was honest and upfront with the staff, he handled his recruitment the right way. Best of luck to him at Rutgers.
