Sorry FT. I don't mean to be a Debbie Downer. I honestly hope it works out for you guys down there. I have extensive experience with some of the most complex and challenging projects in the world and I'm always skeptical.
IMO your biggest issue is production rates. It needs to go up (that or the price of oil). The technologies available are so numerous I couldn't begin to list them all. From what I know of the TMS it is likely they will require some of the premier services to improve drilling efficiency. You're talking big money for these services and AFEs on land projects are always on the low end.
I'm currently working on an HPHT offshore project proposal and the costs are almost 3x the costs of a conventional well. These type of projects are AFE killers.

Ive been asking more people involved in the TMS questions lately. Mainly trying to find someone to tell me it wont happen. Especially after watching 18wheeler after 18wheeler pass my driveway on their way to drilling another hole. I honestly havent found one person that doesnt sound optimistic. Im not just talking about land owners but people in the industry.
Halcon seems to think they can apply Eagle Ford drilling in the TMS and be successful. Floyd Wilson, the one credited with starting the EF, said he studied the TMS a year before jumping in and is ready to attack it head on. I know he is small time compared to some big companies but with his success its kinda hard to bet against him
