I have an SBE2 and a Beretta 390 as a backup. If I had to pick one, it would be the Beretta. I say this because the thing refuses to jam and doesn't need be babied.

I see this concept a lot on various boards..."I shoot this high end gun but have this as a backup".

If you're going to spend the money for Beretta's A400 or Benelli SBE2, etc. there should be no need for a backup. For me personally, I'd hunted an Xtrema2 since July 2006 and then talked myself into selling it to a buddy and going with the new A400 Xtreme last Christmas. Nothing but great things to say about either of those two, and I suppose I have an old Beretta AL390 in back of the closet as my "backup" I hope to not need. The longer fore ends on the beretta's fit me best with my longer arms, just the same an SBE and a Remmy 870 are way too short on me. Get what fits you!

You never know when shiz wlll get fricked up on my hunting expeditions. However, my 15 yo seems to have inherited the Benelli so I am kinda stuck with the Beretta. I guess if you really wanted to call me out, I got a 870 Mag for a backup to a backup.
