Castro just simply isn't good enough to put up with his poor defense & demeanor. I can't stand the guy personally.

His defense hasn't gotten better in 3 years. He has zero focus. He's known to loaf on the base paths.

Where is the defensive coaching? His problems are correctable but he may have gotten worse. He can't make routine plays. The cubs will never win anything with him there playing like that.

As for trading him, it's not like they'd be getting nothing. Put Barney at SS and at least you could put up with his zero offensive easier.

Svuem is actually known for his defensive coaching. Soriano has said he was never coached on defense until last year.

I agree on Castro. His OBP has decreased every year since he's been called up. His batting avg gone from .307 to .283 to .249. He has 18 walks in 100 games.

The scouting report is out on him, and he's not adjusting.

It's hard for me to say he's not gettin coached..b/c guys like Rizzo and Valbuena are showing improvement
