That's the difference between 2011 and 2012 in a nutshell.
Those guys went into 2011 competing for their jobs. They went into 2012 with a guarenteed spot and their minds made up on leaving for the NFL before playing a down their junior year.

I think we'll actually have more talent at DE this year. Rasco, Hunter, Maclin, Herron is a potent lineup. I love our LSU players but let's be honest Sam was the last off the snap on every play and hardly had any sacks. Mingo was a stud but really didn't produce like I thought he would last year short of a couple games.

disagree on the talent comment, we are reloaded, you are spot on with the Motivated part, lots of competition at many positions
