As a youth, many moons ago, I was out with my solid black Daisy BB gun. Rumor was, that farmers wanted us to kill Sparrows, cuz they ate the corn. On the way home I saw some Chimney Swifts swooping above and took a shot. Down it came. I picked it up to see where my dead aim had hit. It was a beak shot. Well many, many years later, I learn that Chimney Swifts are the most prolific mosquito hunters on the planet. I realized that my shot was actually "caught" by the poor bird while trying to do his job. I felt bad, so thanks for giving me an outlet to share my shame.
