All rounds require a proper shot. I'll take an accurate shot with a 243 0r 30-30 over sprayin and praying, or flinching before the shot with a magnum.

no truer statement out there..... got a but that spent well over 5k on a 300 mag rig.. and is 2 for 12 shooting with it...

My son shot his first few with a 223 and the next few with 243. He has never lost one but made some high lung shots with the 243 and they ran 75 to 90 yards in a pine thicket with little to no blood. Him shooting the 270 with managed recoil has made my job easier. I also agree with the 30 30. they make a good hole.
