I'm watching but losing interest fast. I'm not loving this show as I hoped. Question, who is the woman screwing in the hotel that scratched Rays face. Who was that and what's the story?

They are still setting up Ray's job. Kind of outlining the types of things he does for Ezra. I think it was just a way of showing us what Ray is all about, how he works, the types of things he's willing to do. There is also a back story between Ezra and the other attorney and Ray's dad. It seems that Ray's dad has something that can jeopardize all of their future's, and the series is just beginning to lay out that back story.
Also, this show is awesome. I'm actually excited that showtime has picked this after ending Dexter. It seems like it's going to be a nice transition into a new series.
