What is funny to me is that the SEC has a rule in place (called the alma mater rule) which prohibits referees from officiating a game involving their alma mater. In effect, the SEC admits that the possibility of bias exists. Yet, when it comes to schedules, which have a huge impact on a teams title chances each year, an Alabama alum and Tuscaloosa native was allowed to oversee the process and rubber stamp schedules that seriously favor his alma mater and hurt their chief competition.

Alabama fans can say what they want, but the people of Louisiana know a thing or two about corruption (Huey P, Edwin Edwards, et al), and sometimes you just have to call a spade a spade.

Was it ever confirmed as fact that he Bama alum actually made or approved the schedule? I only ask bc I've seen no mention of it anywhere except the Rant. We've seen outside media discuss the lopsided schedule but I don't think anyone mentioned the Bama alum.
