I call BS on Richt can recruit with the best of them. He has high rankings every year, but Georgia is almost right there with Florida and Texas for producing NFL players and Richt loses half of them every year. Every program in the SEC (including LSU) grabs one or two from him most years. If Richt owned Georgia the way LSU owns Louisiana (and we do, only lose one or two from the state each year, not the 6-8 Richt loses) then UGA would be in the national championship hunt every yea
Living inside Georgia, I would have to agree with this post. This frustrates the locals as they are tired of the nice guy persona, highly touted recruiting classes, but little year in year out championship contention.

I have noticed this. Richt seems to be very likeable and tries to come across as a man of great character.
Do you think he is not a good talent evaluator, not a good motivator, not a good Xs and Os coach, not a good recruiter, or just what that prevents Richt from contending for the SEC East every year, given the quantity of highly ranked GA players most years.
