Is Anyone Concerned That...

So much hope for the coming season seems to be on Cam Cameron's impact with the offense? Now, before anyone starts flaming... I'm just asking the question. Last year, our hopes were pinned to Mettenberger.. this year, it seems like it's Cameron. It concerns me that our hopes are tied to a guy who was fired by a pro team. Just asking if anyone else feels the same.

I for one am not concerned. Cameron is a pro. He'll get the job done.

Mett was an "untested", talented JUCO QB. CCC is a tried and true man of the game with a proven track record of developing QBs. Not worried.

top 5 offense in the SEC. That is what I expect.

He was fired because he was too good of a coach, duh

Why? What does that have to do with his current job at LSU?

Don't think so.

He has proven success at the highest level.
The ravens were sleep walking at the beginning of the season. Cam leaving made the whole team get their act together.
Coaches get hired and fired for all sorts of reasons.
I am excited to see what Cam can bring to the table.

Brees, Rivers and Flacco. They have shown his skills as a coach. IMO, he's seems to be reluctant to alter his game plan during the game. That's the only negative I saw from him as a coordinator. He was the patsy in the Ravens firing. Their offense didn't improve after he left. If you take away Jacoby Jones' big plays they don't make it to the Super Bowl.

Well, if he was fired by a pro team, that would indicate he wasn't getting the job done.

This. We didnt bring in some up and comer who was a WR coach at an ACC school. This guy is a seasoned pro.

What does that have to do with his ability to develop a QB and call offensive plays at LSU?

Sick of the talk about Cam being fired in Baltimore. That team didn't start averaging 200+ more yards/game after his dismissal, the offense stayed the same. He has been a pro wherever he has gone as OC. We will be fine this season. I'm not expecting any razzle dazzle or secret playbooks , just an offense that looks like a well oiled machine.

You think if he wasnt getting the job done they would have given him a super bowl ring?
Not to mention, regardless of how much of Sabans dick most of LSU fans like to suck, its much more difficult to beat the Patriots and Steelers than Auburn and Alabama.

Sometimes a coach or a player gets "stale" after being somewhere too long.
Look at the guys resume. It really is quite impressive.

We win 10 or 11 games every year and are in the NC hunt regardless of who we put our "hope" in. Just enjoy it and quit worrying about it.

You do realzie he won't be playing Auburn and Bama with the Ravens, right? Not sure how you can even compare the two.
