Heavyweight boxing is "dead" in America but it's HUGE in Europe, especially in England/Russia/Ukraine. We actually have some pretty solid fighters coming up the ranks right now but they lack the personality/style to become stars in the US. Not to mention, no one on earth will do anything in the division as long as the Klitschko's are around.
In America, great boxing is between 140 and 175.

That's true. Brother in law is British...
And they've had fighters to support...
Lennox, Prince, Hatton, Calzaghe...
I suppose it wasn't as popular when America was dominating the HW and Middleweight and Lightweight...
But once the void is there...the rest of the world jumps in and loves the sport anew.
