I use Gulp crickets all the time and my kids have caught bunches of bream on them. I like the Gulp crickets because it's easy to keep them and one will last for a bunch of fish.

Yes Sir, that's what I've been looking to hear!

Bluegill are in full spawn at Lake Toho right now and they are tons of them in he reeds (water is high with all the rain we've been getting). I bass fish the place all the time but never fished for bluegill before. The other day I went out there with abut 50 crickets, a few different colored beetle spins, and a couple of lead heads and black and whit skirts. Only thing they would touch was the crickets. But they would destroy it as soon as it would hit the water. Went through 50 crickets about as fast as I could load them on the hook.

I have a feeling that they are gonna tear those gulp crickets up! But I wanted a couple of other suggestions for easy bait just as a back-up.

Plan on snagging a couple hundred this weekend. The spawn on this lake is crazy! I threw a cast net just for giggles ata spot and pulled in about 20 with 5 being the size of my hand. Obviously I can't catch and keep them with a cast net but I just wanted to see what was up.
