Except no one has said that ever.

In fact, most people were pretty upset when Mainieri said before the season that he Cotton might be a hybrid closer/Sunday-starter.

Way to fish though.

When your facing elimination in Omaha, it might have been a good decision since Glenn hadn't thrown in a month.

UNC did it with their closer and it worked!

What about the posters who said it before last season even started? Im not bashing Maineri, I just have a different philosophy in that regard. I believe your best pitchers should be at the top of the rotation. It cost us in Omaha last season and cost us the year before we won the national championship last time(Coleman).
