Submarine has an excellent soundtrack. Quirky, witty but not everyone's style.
Safety Not Guaranteed is pretty good. Light, fun. Not amazing, but worth a watch. Arctic Monkeys have a song in it :)
If you want a war documentary, Restrepo is fantastic. Has action scenes.
Extract is a pretty decent film. Worth a watch. Very funny. Pretty good cameos in it too.
All four except for perhaps restrepo were made since 2011. Restrepo is based on the war in Afghanistan. So it's not dated by any means. If not a 2011 film, it was probably 2009 or so

I watched this movie because of your MWADS ballot, it was a fantastic.
Safety Not Guaranteed was decent but very overrated IMO. I finally watched IP Man on Netflix last night and very much enjoyed it.
