They're trying to get rid of them because the new models are out like with any product, why would you buy a 2012 model with the 2013's out?

Slightly more than say an LCD or LCD LED, but, Plasma's are better for darker rooms and LED's are better for brighter rooms.

Regardless, Plasma's have the best picture quality and you can get them at a better price. Win win.

Buy some curtains.
