I don't know anyone who holds it straight vertical with the floor the whole time either. It's usually tilted up some when I lean back in my chair.

Right, and the light is on the bottom pointed towards the PS Eye below your tv.
Thus, it's not on your TV, you'd have to have it tilted up at a big angle to project it onto your TV, or have your TV on the floor.
Much less if your tv is wall mounted.
