The answers posted in this thread are a joke. Anyone with even a vague knowledge of NFL history knows that Steve Van Buren was such a dominating force in the league in the late 1940s that you could pretty much label any individual season for him from that era as the greatest season by an LSU player in the NFL. The guy held a ton of NFL records before a knee injury finally did him in. He was way ahead of his time as a player.
