He about 4.8 in 40, as was Teo at the combines.

Another dumbass who thinks 40 time is the end all be all to football.

How about Terrell Suggs dominating college and pro ball with his 4.84 forty speed. Or Jarvis Jones and his 4.92. Kevin Minter ran a 4.8 and he was the best linebacker in college football last year.

Once players put pads on their actual speed is shown. Plus you're forgetting to consider that improper technique can lead to bad 40 times even when the player is much faster. A lot of factors are more important that 40 speed. Hell the best wide receiver ever in football only ran a 4.7

I see Garrett being one of those linebackers that will take control of games. I just think he will be a star in college. And Speedy looks like he could turn into a Tavon Austin type receiver.

I like the possibility of Jennings throwing to a Tavon Austin type guy when he's not handing it to LF.

Sorry, guys.
You can use all the catch phrases you want, but you can't "hit like a freight train", if you don't get there in time to make the tackle. And no one says the 40 is an end all, be all,as fantasized by one poster.

Here's another old sports saying: "There's no substitute for speed".
Garrett may be a very good LB, but his meaurables aren't supportive of his current rating.
If he Notre Dame as his first choice, many here wouldn't give him a second glance.
