Huh? Kings are probably going to match.

Cousins is number 1 on that team in management's eyes. They also have Fredette, Mclemore, thorton, and thomas in the backcourt as is which gives a lot of reason to believe they will not match this lucrative offer.

You keep saying this, but I have no clue where you are getting it from.

We offered 44mil to a guy that has gotten worse every season.

Have you ever watched him play are to you just looking at his stats?

Not trying to be a dick here, though I know that it sounds very dickish, but I was just wondering how much you watched the kid play. He is very talented and was in a situation that was not very good for him to grow in. In the right situation, i.e. the Pels, I think he will blossom.

Even if you look at his stats, this year was basically as good as his rookie year, just with less minutes and shot attempts.

Don't be so sensitive, just fricking with you. Much better punctuation that time though.

I have watched him play, and I would agree that he is a very talented player. You must realize that 44million means that he should be a established star every year with no question marks. I've heard he shows up to camp every year not in the best shape and he really has underachieved from what he started as rookie year. He was in the oscar robinson category rookie year. Still a great player don't get me wrong but this could really backfire.

11/year is not established star money.

Not a superstar no, but at minimum a player doesn't get this unless the team thinks he is going to turn into a high quality star or is already emerging as a star. None the less its still a shite ton of money to offer a guy like Tyreke Evans Example A: Jrue

Here's players making in the 11/year range in 2012/2013:

Deandre Jordan
Nicolas Batum
Corey Magette
Monta Ellis
Rajon Rondo
Jose Calderon
Joakim Noah
Kevin Garnett
Hedo Turkoglu

Only 2 or 3 of those guys have a PER around the same as Evans.

And half of those are considered horrible contracts that nobody wants. So there is still a risk in doing this considering its in the present day being offered learn from others mistakes. Not to mention we are offering this to Tyreke so he can play off the bench.

Just read this I'm not sure how the two can even get close to being compared. Did anyone see the dunk Martin threw down in the All-American game this guy has way more game than Ludwig so I really hope this guy is wrong. I'm ready for LSU bball to return to prominence.

All contracts are considered horrible if they don't produce. The point is for the production Evans had over his career, $11/ year is not grossly overpaying, especially for a guy that's I'm his early 20's

Bench players can get paid too. As long as they are getting the minutes they can earn that money, it doesn't matter if he's a starter or not.

Manu Ginobili - $14 million
Kevin Martin - $12.4 million

The kings qualifying offer was way lower, which shows you how little they value him compared to us

Teams have no determination on how low or high their QO is to a player on a rookie contract.

A QO is an increase in percentage in the players applicable Rookie Salary Scale.

For instance, Vasquez's QO will be just over $3.2 million next off season. The Pelicans can't make him a QO of $2 mill and have RFA rights to him.

I don't know about Boston's cap situation or anything but Gordon for Green would save us like 5.5m per year so that's good.

I'd be ok with that trade. Not sure Boston would go for it though.
