Perhaps. I think part of what makes it popular is that you HAVE to wait for a table. Tourists, families, young folks .. they walk or drive down Mag and see all these people standing outside in 90 degree weather waiting for a table they think it must be a great spot to eat and cool down to the groovy sites and sounds of the Caribbean.
