Is that really because of the deadline or so Demps can set up a S&T? Sacramento publicly declaring they wouldn't match anything over the qualifying offer was a invitation to a S&T IMO.

If the offer is in the $7-8mil range, do the Kings have the space the eat the remaining difference between the 2 contracts?
