I'm tired of hearing about the OKC model and the 2014 draft. OKC got lucky. They hit it out of the park three years in a row and I dare anyone to name another team today that has done the same. The 2014 draft is a mystery. Every draft is a mystery. The 2012 one was. Davis looks great now but before putting on an NBA jersey we didn't know.

Precisely. Drafting in the top five on an annual basis is far from a lock for acquiring future all-stars -- luck plays a huge factor. I doubt you'd find any GM crazy enough to trade Anthony Davis for next year's first overall which, who knows, might not even turn out to be Wiggins.

People like to project that guys like Noel and Wiggins will turn out to be the next Duncan or James. The odds are heavily stacked against it.
