Admins: Avatar & Signature width issues

My Avatar was too wide and I resized it to 150.
However, I use the same signature format as everyone else - none of the versions on my Flickr photostream is larger than 400 wide as it was custom made by someone on td.com to satisfy the width maximum.
Is it possible my sig image got hit with a knee jerk reaction to my avatar being too big? I'm using the 320 width now, which is the next size down. However, I don't think this image:
which I was using, exceeds the 400 pixel width.
Not trying to cause problems, but can I get a ruling on this? Thanks.

Your sig is under 30 Kbytes and 400 x 150. You should be good but what do I know?
I just resized your avi, it was still too big.

This.
That pic you had looked like this.
quote:
150px × 206px (scaled to 109px × 150px)
TD was scaling it back.

So you just set it to 109x150?
I thought the width limit was 150? I'm confused then - so it has to be no more than 150 in either axis?

Correct. 150 x 150.
I think it's a software TD uses that scales back images to 150 x 150 and 400 x 150.
If I were to put in a picture as my avi or sig as big as the screen on the laptop I'm posting on, it still would be automatically be scaled back to TD regs and you wouldn't notice at first glance. However, a picture that big scaled down would look very pixelated and the admins would notice and thus remove it.
I pressed view image on your avi and it was way bigger there.

I guess that was the problem. I'll wait a little while and put the correct signature image up.
Yeah, I cut the original Avi down to 150 width, but I didn't know I was out of bounds on height. Thanks again, man.
