When I moved back here (and I thought it temporary), people gave me shite on this board about picking a premiere side.

The prem is exciting, no doubt, but you as a Serie A guy, know what I´m talking about (even though La Liga and Serie A are also very, very different).

I'm really just a Roma fan even if there will occasionally be a club outside Italy I really enjoy watching (like Villarreal under Pellegrini and even after with Cazorla, Valero, Rossi etc). City definitely could begin to have that appeal under Pellegrini.

However, I've completely avoided the every American needs to pick an EPL side thing and am not particularly keen on EPL style football.

I do really enjoy this board as I like a number of the posters here. However, it's slowly becoming much more EPL centric than I remember. I often get the sense the sense more people are watching Stoke v Crystal Palace than Roma v Fiorentina or Bilbao v Villarreal, which, to my mind, is a bit unfortunate.

Just as Italians surely poopoo the attacking mind of Spanish football, and Spaniards the defensiveness of Italian, we both appreciate and respect, tactics.

I think these prem people can´t get into anything which isn´t mindlessly heaving up and down the pitch.

It´s evident when they see CL matches, and bitch about the officiating. The prem would be very boring were they to whistle every foul.

I still get a kick out of the English crowds applauding the awarding of a corner.
