Shark caught near Galveston
this makes news?

I have seen a lot of sharks this summer but I don't get the big deal over catching one at the beach

Saw two guys surf fishing at Rollover last year and a shark got ahold of one of their stringers with their specs and pulled them around!
Man they came out running.
Pretty funny. I won't use one of those baskets that float as a guy told me they can get their teeth caught in the mesh bottom and a bull shark pulled his buddy 150 yards out.

So a fisherman catches a 4 foot shark in the Gulf and it makes the news?

Texas is full of pussies.

I've caught a ton of sharks down there but there has been more activity with less commonly seen species, like hammerheads. I'll be back down for 4th of July weekend looking to get some sharks and redfish.

Must be a slow news day. Anyone from the TX coastal area knows this is a BS story. I can go to Freeport and catch 2 to 5 like that most any night.

Also remember that most Houston reporters today are NOT from Texas.
