L.D.W.F. Offering Hunter Ed. Instructor Training in St. Tammany This Weekend!

There is no charge for the class and it is open to anyone over the age of 18 who is interested in teaching hunter education courses. Topics covered will include safe gun handling, wildlife management, responsibility and ethics, and general outdoor safety. Live fire exercises will also be part of the training.
The training facility is located at 39395 Pine Street in Pearl River and class begins on Friday, June 28 with a three-hour session from 6 to 9 p.m., and concludes on Saturday, June 29 with eight hours of training from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Gene emailed me and told me there were still openings...
I don't know how I feel about giving up a whole Saturday though...Family time is real important with the school issues and all...trying to keep the kids minds off of the imminent swap to private school, as we lost our appeals...kids are devastated...

Hunter Ed. Wish PE would teach this in school.
My neighbor and I dropped our boys off a few years ago to Hunter Ed right there in Pearl River. Picked them up that afternoon and went and shot the three rounds the next day. Good to go.
