Two things.

The O was horribly inconsistent last year. That did the D no favors. This shouldn't be a problem this season. Positive.

They players didn't believe in Spags system (for whatever reason) so it didn't translate onto the field. I hate when people say it, because they are pros and all, but it showed. IMO, they want to play for Ryan. That, alone, will improve their play. Positive.

They added/touched/upgraded at every level of the D. Dline, LBs (the guy is hurt now, but he would have started) CB and Safety. Positive.

Hey...It can't get any worst. Positive.

No, I do expect the Saints to improve... never said I didn't. Just stating why I understand people/writers having concerns about the Saints. I think the Saints should compete for the NFC South this year. 9-10 wins is reachable. Just depends on that D.

No but the fact that he will keep the offense on the field longer will do wonders for the D.
